Address: Av. Joan Carles I, 64, 08908 L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona, Spain
Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via complex is one of the largest exhibition venues in the Barcelona metropolitan area. It provides approximately 240,000 square metres of gross exhibition space, extensive visitor facilities, restaurants, parking and connections to metro, train, bus and taxi services.
Construmat will use Halls 6 and 7, giving the exhibition a substantially larger footprint than its previous edition. The organiser says the exhibition area will grow by 23%, reaching approximately 13,500 square metres.
The venue is located in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, close to Barcelona’s business districts and approximately 12 kilometres from Barcelona-El Prat Airport. Its location makes it practical for both domestic and international professional visitors.
Full event programme
The 2027 programme is being developed around the major challenges facing construction and the opportunities created by new technologies, sustainable materials and industrialised building.
Sustainable Building Congress
The Sustainable Building Congress is the flagship knowledge platform of Construmat. It brings together architects, engineers, developers, construction professionals and other specialists to discuss projects and ideas shaping the future of sustainable construction.
Industry & Talks
Industry talks provide a platform for companies and specialists to discuss construction trends, technological development, sustainability and practical solutions.
Workshop Area
The workshop area is designed for practical learning, demonstrations and professional training. It allows visitors to move beyond conventional presentations and see technologies and techniques applied in real situations.
Startups Zone & Investment Forum
The startup programme gives emerging companies an opportunity to present technologies and innovative processes to investors, established companies, researchers and potential customers.
International programme
The international programme connects exhibitors with delegations and buyers from important construction markets. Portugal will have a particularly prominent role as guest country, supported by Portuguese trade and infrastructure organisations.
Key speakers & keynote speakers
The complete 2027 speaker list has not yet been published, so individual speakers should only be treated as confirmed when announced by Construmat.
The event is expected to feature architects, engineers, construction executives, technology specialists, developers and representatives of professional associations. The organiser has also indicated that the Sustainable Building Congress will include international architectural and construction perspectives.
Portugal’s participation is expected to add an important institutional dimension. Portugal’s Minister for Infrastructure and Housing, Miguel Pinto Luz, has confirmed attendance for institutional and business meetings connected with the event.
The organisers are also working to secure Portuguese architect Eduardo Souto de Moura, the Pritzker Prize-winning architect, for an intergenerational discussion with influential figures in architecture and construction. His participation should therefore be treated as planned rather than fully confirmed until the final programme is published.
Conference sessions & tracks
The conference programme is expected to focus on the issues most directly affecting the construction industry’s future.
Sustainable construction
Sessions will examine ways to reduce the environmental impact of buildings through sustainable materials, efficient systems, circular approaches and responsible construction practices.
Industrialisation
Industrialised construction is one of the main strategic themes for Construmat. Off-site construction, prefabrication, modular systems and more efficient production methods are becoming increasingly important for addressing productivity and housing challenges.
Digitalisation
Digital tools such as BIM, digital twins, Industry 4.0 systems and artificial intelligence are transforming project design, construction monitoring and building management. These technologies are expected to feature prominently throughout the professional programme.
Energy efficiency
The programme will address technologies and construction methods that improve building performance, reduce energy consumption and support decarbonisation.
Housing
Affordable and sustainable housing is another major industry challenge. Conference discussions are expected to examine ways to accelerate construction while maintaining quality, affordability and environmental performance.
Architecture and innovation
Architectural innovation, healthy buildings, new materials and emerging construction approaches will provide further discussion points throughout the congress and industry sessions.
Session times & schedule
The complete 2027 timetable is still being developed. Construmat’s official agenda system is designed to allow visitors to filter activities by day, format, track, location and hour once the programme is fully populated.
Visitors should therefore check the official agenda before planning individual conference sessions, workshops or meetings.
The previous programme demonstrates the scale of content that can be offered. The last edition featured 164 activities, including conferences, round tables, workshops and masterclasses, with 212 speakers.
The final schedule is expected to include congress sessions, company presentations, practical demonstrations, startup activities, networking opportunities and professional training.
Ticket types & registration
Construmat is a professional trade fair, with registration designed primarily for architects, engineers, builders, developers, manufacturers, installers, distributors and other industry professionals.
The organiser has not yet published a clear standard 2027 visitor ticket price on its current official pages. Visitors should therefore use the official registration platform once visitor accreditation opens rather than relying on unofficial ticket sellers.
Previous editions and special participation packages have included professional access and separate paid activities. Exhibitor participation is handled separately and is based on the size and type of exhibition space selected.
For 2027, the organiser offers several exhibitor participation formats, including Partner packages starting at 20 square metres, free-space options starting at 20 square metres and premium Partner packages starting at 80 square metres. The organiser states that pricing for free-space participation varies according to square metres and the procurement date.
A historical startup package listed a 4-square-metre stand with furniture, lighting, electricity, Wi-Fi and visitor invitations at €695, equivalent to approximately $810 USD using a rounded conversion. This is a previous promotional package and should not be treated as the standard 2027 visitor admission price.
Registration deadlines
A final general visitor registration deadline has not been published by the organiser.
Professionals planning to attend should register as soon as the official visitor registration system becomes available, particularly if they want to participate in limited-capacity activities, business meetings, workshops or specialist programmes.
For exhibitors, Construmat has separate participation deadlines. The organiser’s published 2027 participation information includes an Early Bird period for new exhibitors that ran through September 30, 2026, while other participation arrangements continue according to availability.
Companies seeking exhibition space should contact the official Construmat sales team because stand availability, location and participation conditions can change as the exhibition fills.
Exhibitor list & major companies
Construmat expects more than 400 exhibitors for its upcoming edition, representing around 800 brands. The larger exhibition footprint is intended to accommodate additional companies and a broader range of construction solutions.
Companies and brands associated with the recent edition include:
- Cosentino
- Deceuninck
- Evowall
- Fischer
- Greco Gres

Exhibition halls & floor plan
Construmat will use Halls 6 and 7 at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue.
Hall 6
The exhibition layout is being expanded to accommodate construction materials, systems, technologies, suppliers and professional solutions across the building value chain.
Hall 7
The second hall will further expand the commercial exhibition and provide space for additional companies, brands and industry solutions.
The exact stand-by-stand floor plan and final exhibitor allocation should be checked through the official Construmat exhibitor catalogue when the organiser completes the 2027 layout.
The move into two halls represents an important expansion compared with the previous edition and forms part of the organiser’s plan to increase the exhibition area by 23%.
Networking & business meetings
Networking is one of the major objectives of Construmat. The event is designed to connect construction suppliers with architects, engineers, developers, contractors, purchasing managers and other professionals with decision-making responsibilities.
The organiser reports that its audience includes architects and engineers, construction companies, distributors, promoters, interior decorators, installers, public administrations and industry associations.
The international programme is particularly important for companies looking to expand beyond the Spanish market. Construmat maintains international delegations covering markets including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, China, France, Italy, Morocco, Portugal and Turkey.
The 2027 edition will also include dedicated business opportunities involving Portugal. Meet & Connect activities and targeted meetings are intended to connect Spanish and Portuguese companies with buyers, developers, project leaders and other construction professionals.

Event rules & visitor information
Construmat is a professional construction exhibition, so visitors should complete the appropriate registration and accreditation process before entering the exhibition.
Professional visitors should keep their registration information available and follow the venue’s security and access requirements.
The organiser also recommends using official channels when dealing with event registration, exhibitor information and visitor data. Visitors should be cautious of third parties claiming to sell attendee databases or unofficial event lists.
Because the Gran Via venue is extensive, visitors should allow sufficient time for security, walking between halls, attending sessions and meeting exhibitors.
Professionals with specific purchasing or research objectives can benefit from reviewing the exhibitor catalogue and programme in advance and preparing a shortlist of companies they want to meet.
